Has any further discussion happened between developers about the plugin system since issue 283?

The issue is linked in the docs, sometimes people comment on it, but it seems it has been sitting there for years, untouched in essence. Have there been any more talk about it, any sort of timeline/plans etc proposed from the developers?

Yeah, I'm sorry We've had some recent design discussions but haven't actively started any work on it (and are still far from reaching consensus). It's a feature we're excited about and know that users care about too, it has just been hard to prioritize such a massive effort while also building a type checker.
