Could you elaborate more on the subject? What are these "global environments" you are referring to?

Are you referring to system-wide installs, outside of Python virtual environments? If so, the builds from this repository can be used as such installs, though deployed somewhere (say /opt/python-standalone) it doesn't clobber the OS-provided Python installation.
