Fuji PXG4 not following background curve

Hello list, hoping someone can help me.

i am using a Fuji PXG4 PID that successfully speaks to Artisan on my laptop, it has also been successfully auto tuned and maintains the desired temperatures that i set. It also follows along the ramp/soak profile.

My goal is for BT to follow the background curve but when I activate background mode (with background loaded of course) it simply begins an oscillating curve that seems to follow the PID SV. Screenshot are attached.

I have followed Frans & Nicos excellent guides and also the PXG4 discussions here on this forum but I am stumped! I previously had this working and changed to a newer laptop maintaining what I thought were working settings. I tried my old laptop again and encountered the same problem which makes me think its an issue with the Fuji
