2.8.4. Legacy Windows 8 Download Required

Hello,

I am not able to find version 2.8.4 artisan legacy download for windows 8. The original version only supports Windows 10 and greater. Would anyone be able to give me the link for this version? Thanks!

Just to clarify, the Kaleido roaster is only compatible with 2.8.4., please advise on how to get a working 2.8.4 version for Windows 8! Legacy version 3.2.0 does not work, I need 2.8.4.

Why does the legacy version 3.2.0 not work? What do you observe? Wouldn't it be better to fix what ever is wrong there for this an future versions instead of relaying on an outdated app version more than 2 years old and full of known issues?

Hello Makomo,

I am using bluetooth connection. When I tried legacy version 3.2.0 my computer shows bluetooth COM for Kaleido incoming and COM6 for Kaleido outgoing (see photos). I have also attached my windows and artisan software information, as well as Bluetooth paired successfully.

When I choose COM5 under ports/serial on artisan and the response artisan gave when I press "on" and "start." It says "PID on" but then 2 secs afterwards it says "Kaleido disconnected"

When I tried COM6, the environmental and bean temperature were showing and fluctuating at around 37 degrees. SV 220 was also showing. However, nothing happened when tried to change the burner, air, or anything else.

Oh, you are trying to connect via Bluetooth on a Windows 8 setup. Good luck! The Bluetooth stack of all Windows versions before Windows 11 are shaky. Some Windows 10 versions work ok. Bluetooth from desktop computers work best under macOS. I fear Artisan 2.8.4 will not work any better for you on Windows 8. Nothing we can do about. Sorry.

You might have better luck posting on the Facebook Kaleido group. They may even have it in the group. We do not keep old versions here for download. I think if you explore the group, you will also find that the current versions also work some people have issues with the Bluetooth, but they are so solvable if you search the threads here.
