PID Control Dialogue GUI Bug?

I cannot see the PID parameter settings. Is this a bug? Not sure if relevant, I'm using a Kaleido roaster. The settings file (.aset) does contain pidKp, pidKi, pidKd, pidSource, pidCycle, etc., so I'm guessing the location of the input boxes somehow got shifted outside the window and are simply not visible anymore.

Check the port configuration to see if you are already talking to the machine's PID.

Thank you for your suggestion. If I understand things correctly, my roaster does not have a PID controller that I can access via MODBUS (if I set it to MODBUS the dialogue box looks similar to what you are showing, but I get a MODBUS related error). For my roaster I am using "Artisan's Software PID" (I'm referring to the nomenclature used here: https://artisan-roasterscope.blogspot.com/2016/11/pid-control.html). I can actually do an automatic roasting using the Artisan's Software PID (Load background -> Control -> Charge, etc.), I just can't change its p-i-d parameter settings unless I go back to version 3.0.0.

If you're using Artisan's software PID, enter "0" for Slave in the PORT configuration.
You'll then find software PID settings in the Control dialog.
I also recommend using the latest Artisan version. v3.2.0

I probably don't understand enough how MODBUS comes into play when trying to modify the PID settings for the software PID controller. It is set to Slave 0. Could you please temporarily set your device to Kaleido and see what you get if you haven't tried that already for me? Yes, I'm hoping to use the latest version, but so far I can only adjust those settings in v3.0.0 :)

The software and hardware development engineer from the equipment manufacturer said: "Users are not allowed to adjust the PID setpoint values."
Due to the above reasons, the artisan has disabled the PID settings dialog box.

Additionally, you can contact the device manufacturer to upgrade the firmware to enable this function.

Interesting, thank you. This was someone from Kaleido? Was this verbal communication or could you point me to the source?
