U instead of BT and ET

Can anyone help. Roasting on giesen W6A it always works fine. Artisan is not picking up readings from the roaster. Managed to do half a roast before readings started crashing and now it says U instead of giving BT and ET readings, restarting won’t help. Have updated iOS on MacBook and downloaded newest edition of artisan. Have also bought a brand new Ethernet and Ethernet hub so it isn’t the connection. Any ideas?

U means it is not connected to the roaster. At a fundamental layer, the software and roaster can't communicate, and until you resolve that, you won't get the data.

The story you paint with a partial roast followed by an application crash and on restart it was no longer working doesn't make sense unless something else changed at the same time. Are you sure you have the correct settings loaded? Have you restored a previous version of the settings to confirm ?
