universal thermocouple / thermometer instructions/directions for connecting to Artisan

I need to connect K/J thermometer 4 channel thermocouple / data logger to Artisan I have looked on YouTube and other self-help information sites, the thermostat is not listed for interface is there a way to connect by setting up a generic or optional pathway if the chosen thermometer/thermocouple is not listed, any self help video or step by step would be most excellent.

There is no step-by-step or video available for interfacing to unsupported devices. For devices not supported by Artisan you have four alternatives.

1. Write an external program that communicates with the device to acquire its data and then presents the data to Artisan. This allows any unsupported device to supply temperature data to Artisan. For more information click the Help button found in the External Program section on the Config>> Device>> ET/BT tab.
2. Artisan is open source. You can fork the source and modify it to add the support for your device.
3. Make a feature request and be sure to include complete technical details including the communication protocol used. There is no guarantee that such a request will be acted upon or when.
4. Replace the device with a supported one.
