Mr. Li can swap in a DC fan in place of the AC fan. Specifically Fan (MD173AP-12SHWB). From what I can find, it's 12 V DC, 5.4 Amps.
I can't tell if it's got 2, 3 or 4 wires but I'm trying to get more info.
I plan on hooking up the Huky with Phidgets and RTD probes (probably 3) so, I guess I'll have everything except the Phidge output module already.
Is there an easy way to control the fan from Artisan with a Phidget output control?
I see their higher power motor controller (DCC1000_0) is rated at 5Amps.
I know how to use a soldering iron but know little about the circuitry and nothing about the programming but I can follow directions.
I'd prefer not to have to build any circuits.
I can't find concise info on how to do this though I have found related info here and elsewhere.
Should I see if he has a 4 lead PWM fan available (I think that would mean 5v low current switching via the module but I have no idea what I'm talking about.
I could also order my own fan as long as I can get one that will fit the Huky without modification.
