New Laser JL5 Kentok Tool Diode 5.5 watt laser stops responding in middle of program

Just bought a new JL5 Kentok laser connected it and each time I run the program the laser stops working after a few A and I receive a message stating that the laser has stopped responding, though the axes will continue to move until I manually abort the program. When I review the logs that I have continued to see, I see a message stating that there was an unexpected number of config. It says it expected 33 and found 34. The gcode shows M4, and I think it stated one time it did not recognize that. Any help would be appreciated.
