If I pick up an unknown or older ESP, I cannot see which features have been compiled into the firmware or which set options and other parameters have been changed to deviate from the default settings.
It would be incredibly helpful if the web interface had a link to an info page on which all features compiled in addition to or which deviate from the base version in this firmware were compiled and configured.
For example, all additional entries from "define use_...." that were entered in User_config_override.h should be saved as a copy on an info page during compilation. And a note line should be created on this page for each config option that is changed later. Up to now, the only option is often to set up a completely new device, since you can't look at these things entry by entry, or only with great effort. You can't check the compiled features at all.

Due to the limitations of ESP8266, it would not be feasible to have such extensive reporting as part of the flashed Tasmota firmware.

First of all, thanks for the answer. I am familiar with these external tools. However, using them is not that practical. At least for displaying the compiled features, all that would need to be displayed is a tiny bit of text that was configured in the user-config override.h. Logging any subsequent configuration changes would, of course, require a fair amount of additional code. To avoid wasting space on this, this function could also be included as an additional feature that can be activated during compilation, only if desired. There is usually enough space in the flash for it.
