Tasmota Reboot over normal Switch

Hallo Tasmota Community

i have a lot of tasmota devices installed in my house and mostly in the walls or behind switches where it is difficult to get to them and sometimes it happens that the device loses wifi and does not reconnect and i have no choice but to de-energize the whole house and hope that all 30 devices reconnect.

i have an idea that i can't implement.

to create a rule with rules that simply restarts the device when the power changes (this means normal switching operations i have no way of accessing the supply for the tasmota devices) 10 times within 15 seconds
if the 10 switching operations are not reached, the timer should reset itself
and not affect normal operation

is it possible to create a rule with these functions?

I think there is a simpler solution: forcing the device to reboot if it loses wifi for too long

thanks for your answer i already had the idea
but that doesn't work because the connection is apparently not completely gone or Tasmota thinks that the connection is still there.

I have also tried with a kind of watchdog and ping unfortunately Tasmota is very sluggish and restarts much too often.

I have already built a rule with gpt which restarts after 10 times pressing the switch, but unfortunately it does not reset the counter after 15 seconds.

No, the add2 will only be executed when var1 is zero, and then var1 will be set to 1. Hence, var2 can only be incremented again after the timer pops, setting both var1 and var2 to zero. Therefore var2 will not get values other than 0 or 1.

BTW. You should not use Backlog when you also have if.

Don't worry about "stressful", as long as it works for you. Simple rules is no heavy task for Tasmota.

But if what you want is a shorter way of doing the same.....

First time, var1 will be empty, which the add will automatically handle as 0.
