Missing to set timezone is very easy! How about adding TimeZone to "Configuration/Timer" page?

For newbies usability would be greatly improved by adding the setting into existing "Configuration/Timer" page.
Would that be feasible?

Well, a once-and-for-all config does not really belong where timer schedules are managed.

And it is more complex than just a time zone; "most places" (where there is summer/normal time), you should not be setting the time zone, but instead use the more complicated TimeStd/ TimeDst settings as listed on https://tasmota.github.io/docs/Timezone-Table/

Additionally, to have support for sunrise/sunset timers, you should also be configuring Latitude and Longitude, at least approximately.

There exists a tool to make it easy, but it may be a bit off when it comes to the time when switching between normal and summer time. https://tasmotatimezone.com/

And do make sure to have NTP servers configured (or another real time source).

It seems you are confirming my main concern written in title "Missing to set timezone is very easy!".

Usabilty is key to success but currently it is extremely easy to get it wrong!

The current situation as I understand it (happy to be corrected):

Required steps to have a setup for correct operation are:

• "TZ command builder" is not part of Tasmota
• "TZ command builder" is not 100% accurate ("may be a bit off when it comes to the time when switching between normal and summer time.")
• not mentioned in https://tasmota.github.io/docs/Getting-Started/#initial-configuration
• settings are scattered in several places (console, configuration)
• active settings can not be easily verified

Is this an accurate description?

I neither confirmed nor denied anything, merely pointed out that having a simple time zone field in the web UI is not a solution to getting it right, as it should not even be done by setting a time zone.
