Hello Aptos Community,
I’m reaching out with deep urgency regarding a critical issue that has caused me significant financial loss. My intention was to obtain my USDT deposit address from Binance, but I mistakenly copied the Aptos token contract address, which ended with “::aptos::aptos” The sender then removed that trailing part and transferred the funds to an address.
Key Details:
• TXID: 0x2493e958698af5c1fcc732254ffdc681db00ed5e12bc041cba27578c3e7365ab
• What I Copied (ending with “::aptos::aptos”): [0xa4600bf50923f5b01dd7f4cf3dcb98b1ce775976fff3c49433a77a83071a1cb6::aptos::aptos]
• Address that Received the Funds (after sender removed ending“::aptos::aptos”): 0xa4600bf50923f5b01dd7f4cf3dcb98b1ce775976fff3c49433a77a83071a1cb6
• Sender Platform: OKX
In short, I intended to copy my Aptos USDT deposit address, but due to confusing instructions, I copied the Aptos token contract address instead. The sender then modified it by removing the trailing “::aptos::aptos” resulting in a transfer to an address that was not meant to receive my funds.
I am urgently seeking any guidance on whether there is a migration or recovery process available in this scenario. Is there any mechanism to reroute the funds from this unintended contract address to my correct deposit address or, alternatively, to have them refunded to the sender?
Your insights and any pointers to official procedures or support channels that can help recover these funds would be immensely appreciated. This error has caused me a severe financial setback, and I am desperate for a solution.
Thank you for your attention and assistance.
