Thanks for sharing the context. Could you please share your Move smart contract and Move.toml file as well? It seems the error comes from the Move code, not from the CLI object deployment feature.

This error happens since the create_collection function in token v1 assumes that the signer is regular account type. This internally calls account::create_guid, which attempt to borrow Account resource from the signer account. If you call this function in init_module and deploy the module with object deployment, that error happens since the object doesn't hold the Account resource.

Try using create_collection function in token v2. This will work with your case.

You can either

• deploy your move code to a regular account (aptos move publish ...)
• or use the token v2 functions
