Trying to make Brush work with horizontal bar chart

Here's what I'm trying to do. I have a horizontal bar chart and I'm trying to have minimap for it. Brush behavior is weird when I make the chart horizontal. You can see it allows me to change selection on X axis as well and brush does not work on Y either.

Any input or help is greatly appreciated
