How would you get data from the xaxis categories on a click event?

Hi Apex Team, hope you can assit,

How would you get data from the xaxis > categories > ( Value) using a on a click event?
at present i can pull data through via series data on a field called name in ( ex:3 ) Unfortunately im using the name field for other purposes in the chart so this route wont work.

        click(event, chartContext, config) {
                    console.log(config.config.dataLabels);
   ( ex:1 route data needed )   console.log(config.config.xaxis.categories);

                    console.log(config.config.series[config.seriesIndex].data[config.dataPointIndex]);

                  ex:3  // console.log(config.config.series[config.seriesIndex].name[config.dataPointIndex]);;
