Which IntelliJ IDE version to use to test Grails 7 M1/M3

I currently use IntelliJ IDE 2021.3 for running a grails 5.2.2 application with Java 8. When testing Grails 7-M1/ (M3), which version of IntelliJ IDE should i use? If I run my Grails 7 app on the 2021.3 IDE and Java 17, it complains about a corrupted Gradle and missing plugins etc.. Please advise.. what more plugins do I need to get for a successful testing of Grails 7 M1 or M3? Is there a crosscheck list that I need to make sure to have?

IntelliJ IDEA 2025.1.1.1 (Ultimate Edition) with Grails plugin 251.23774.318 https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/18504-grails/versions are the current versions.

Thanks for responding to my question . I downloaded the mentioned version of the IJ IDE and trying to run the Grails M3 project. Would you please tell me how to handle the error I get regarding the asset pipeline? I have it mentioned in the build.gradle configuration file in the following (plugins, repositories and the dependencies) sections.. but i get this error:

Could not resolve all files for configuration ':runtimeClasspath'.

Could not find com.bertramlabs.plugins:asset-pipeline-grails:.
Required by:
root project : > org.grails.plugins:spring-security-ui:5.0.0-SNAPSHOT:20250109.215347-7
Any clue or advise please..?

Try org.grails.plugins:spring-security-ui:7.0.0-M3

Additionally also make sure you have the following in buildscript { dpendendencies {} }

classpath platform("org.apache.grails:grails-bom:$grailsVersion")

There have also been a huge number of changes since M3 and M4 will be the first milestone with the new Apache coordinates. You can preview that using grailsVersion=7.0.0-SNAPSHOT. https://start.grails.org/ is the best way to get an example application.

Thanks for the suggestions.. Any clue on how to configure the settings in IntelliJ IDE to run the project? The build was successful after several attempts ( learn and fix :) ) but now I am trying to figure out how to start the project on the IDE.. I am able to run the same on command line prompt (windows 11) using gradlew bootRun
