Regarding Saas based hosting

Hey I am new to couchdb and am using it for a nodejs application using the nano module, So lets say I am hosting it on a Saas like service which doesnt allow me to to download files only run a specific type of them like JS and now i want to use couchdb here the localhost will not work because couchdb is not available on the saas, but it is on my pc so how can I connect them between two seperate devices do I just have to use my ip instead of the localhost or something else?
