Helm Chart Support for Apache Airflow 3.0.1

Hi everyone,

I'm currently planning to upgrade to Apache Airflow 3.0.1, and I would like to know if there is an official or community-supported Helm chart that is compatible with this version.

Is the official Helm chart already supporting Airflow 3.0.1?
If not, is there a timeline or workaround for deploying Airflow 3.0.1 using Helm?
Alternatively, are there any community-maintained charts (e.g., from airflow-helm/charts) that already support this version?
Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

@MONOLIFE-12 you can pull the latest version of the chart from the airflow repo. It works fine with 3.0.1.

@opeida 🆒 , I have a quick question, I found that helm chart v1.17 release note explictly shows the support of airflow > 3. release note
however, the feature of helm chart page
shows

Supported Airflow version: 1.10+, 2.0+

Does that indicate all versions greater than 2.0 are supported? even for version 3+

It's already updated in the 1.18.0 being voted and tested. If you want to help - take a look https://lists.apache.org/thread/wkdqcy9k1jztnhgd8jp3f0xk059qv5rs and test the RC candidate and report in the issue listed in the emal.

When could we expect 3.0.X version based deployment of the helm chart to be available in the artifacthub along with updated documentation?

I think as a user of a free software that is released for free by volunteers we can expect you to help and spend your time on telling us that things work.

Or maybe you think that by paying exactly 0 for the software you do not need to contribute and you should have some expectations that MUST be fulfilled by volunteers investing their time in evenings and weekends, often out of their daily jobs and familly time?

What do you think? Is it too much to expect you contribute by testing RC ?

Note that, the default airflow version of helm chart 1.17.0 is 3.0.2. release note

@obarisk, yes. However, I did not see it being mentioned in the documentation for the setup. And 1.18.0, which being prepared has those fixes implemented. As I also tested some of the use cases, it also gives me confidence.

If you followed the comunication - 1.17 had a problem with metadata that prevented it being posted in artifacthub - 1.18 will also fix that.
