Is Chip broken?

I am trying to use the Chip component in Anvil extras, and the chips property seems to have no effect. How should I init a chip with some custom text?

I have a dummy app with a few ways that I've tried to get some chips with dummy text, and they all just display the default "chip" text

Here are the ways I tried to init the chip:

    self.add_component(Chip.Chip(chips=("yum a chip"))) # this is what I understand tuple[str] from docs to mean
    self.add_component(Chip.Chip(chips="yum a chip")) # str
    self.add_component(Chip.Chip(chips=["yum a chip"])) #list of string
    self.add_component(Chip.Chip(chips=[("yum a chip")])) #list of tuple of string
    self.add_component(Chip.Chip(chips=(["yum a chip"]))) #tuple of list of string
    self.add_component(Chip.Chip(chips=("yum", "a", "chip"))) #tuple of strings
    self.add_component(Chip.Chip(chips=["yum", "a", "chip"])) #list of strings

I read the wrong section of the doc, my mistake! The correct property to set is text
