Glad you found it interesting! The error likely comes from how remote points or attachments (like CERIG or remote displacements) are handled in the rst file. They generate result data for nodes that aren’t part of the visible mesh, which causes indexing issues during visualization. I fixed it by updating the mapping logic to only apply results to nodes that exist in the actual grid (grid.point_data["ansys_node_num"]). LMK if it worked or not. If the error still persists, feel free to upload the exact error message you're seeing I'm happy to take a closer look.

I'm not sure where to put the mapping logic you are talking about. I modify a lit bit your code in order to takes modes instead of load step. I attached to this message my code, one example of file which is working (file - Copie) and the one which is not (file.rst for this one I'm forced to send you the ANSYS project without the resut because the result are too big I will also send you a screenshot of the issue). For the one which is not I should have values instead of nan or inf. If you could help me it will be great.

I tired running the ansys project but workbench wont load the rst file ( you could send me a link of a google drive with the rst file in it if you want). But here's what i did I map_to_grid in my original code (you can copy it off my repo) which should filter the result nodes to match the actual mesh. LMK how it goes. You can also change the deformation scale to have a betteer visualization of the deformation.
