How do i update without losing my recorded videos? Do I always have to back them up before updating?

You can directly download the apk and install it. It will show you the message that this will update the existing fadcam. If you don't get this msg then it will simply fail so give it a try. If it fails then yes you can backup your videos. Also instead of updating to 1.5.0, download the besta version please which is 2.0.0. It is a complete refactored version and after that the upcoming versions you can easily update without losing data.
If this version causes issues like video recording not working etc then you can fix it by rebooting your device, and reinstalling (backup videos before uninstalling app).

I also need to uninstall before updating, otherwise i get an error:
"App not installed as package conflicts with an existing package".

I was waiting for the new update of Fadcam cause i thought you will add a feature in the app to set the focus & exposure on a specific area.. cause sometimes the autofocus doesn't work properly.
I also raised a request to you but you disappointed me.

The fun fact is i don't even have VPN installed on my phone....

eventually im unable to send you a screen recording on Github, every time i try to select the video it takes me to the home screen of my phone

i created 2 accounts on Discord, first account was created approx 2 months before & the second one was created when you said to join the discord.

but the point is: the email used for creating both accounts wasn't my personal email, i use some fake emails.
although neither they were temporary (coz i still have access to them ) nor the domain of them are diffrent (they both have domain @gmail.com)

i think you should provide me your telegram account so that i can show you proof.... (im not asking for your personal, you can give me your business or you can create a fake one, i just want to discuss)

You might be using old version of app. And no u can't on old versions on app...

There’s no functionality in Fadcam to auto-delete anything, and I’m not sure what happened on your side, so I can’t say much about recovery. If you deleted it yourself, try checking the trash by long-pressing the Fadcam icon in the home tab’s header. Could’ve been a bug or a caching issue, especially if you recently updated the app.

By the way, the latest version is 2.0.0-beta. It’s a major refactor and no more temp file system is there, so issues from 1.5.0 aren’t being looked into anymore.

Does it support shortcut key activation, such as volume control key？

Yes it has shortcuts for start/stop and torch. You can use apps like macrodroid.
