Right now, they are no example showing how to use @Input() or @Output() for a component attached using the portal cdk.

I don't quite understand what the example would be. Inputs and outputs should work in the exact same way as for non-portal components.

For me the last answer seams very interesting, especially as there is a lot of hidden potential.
The point I don't really understand is why the typecasting is needed.

setInputs(portalOutletRef: CdkPortalOutletAttachedRef) {
portalOutletRef = portalOutletRef as ComponentRef<BaseAuditView>;

portalOutletRef.setInput('prop1', this.prop1);
portalOutletRef.setInput('prop2', this.prop2);

With the new setInput option I would expect that Portal could provide an easy way to utilize this function.
