Self-hosting or docker instructions ?

Would it be possible to add a section in the documentation about self hosting and/or docker installation ?

You just need to download the zip file from the releases and extract it somewhere. Then, configure your webserver to serve the page. Here are some example steps for Debian 12:

1. Install nginx
2. Download the zip and unzip it somewhere (e.g., the latest release at time of writing this is called v1.0.1.zip; unzipping it to /var/www/ creates a folder named notepad-1.0.1; I suggest renaming /var/www/notepad-1.0.1 to just /var/www/notepad)
3. chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/notepad
4. rm /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/default
5. Create the file /etc/nginx/sites-available/notepad with the following content:

server {
        listen 80;
        listen [::]:80;
        root /var/www/notepad;
        index index.html index.htm;
        server_name xxx.yyyy.zzz;

        location / {
                try_files $uri $uri/ =404;
        }
}

6. service nginx reload
7. Pull it up by its IP or, if you use something like Nginx Proxy Manager, point xxx.yyyy.zzz to the IP for internet access.
