How to contribute to translations?

Do I edit the translation files directly, or is there an online system for that?

In order to translate mousam,

• Firstly you'll have to make a copy of the mousam.pot file in po dir.
• Translate the strings like this:

    #: data/io.github.amit9838.mousam.appdata.xml.in:10
   msgid "Features:"   # Original string 
   msgstr "Funktionen:"  # Translated string

• Now check-in the file and raise the pr to master branch.

How can I test my translations? I've added my language to the LINGUAS file and it's added to the deps, but the all string still appears in English even though I've changed some of the strings.

I'm using GNOME Builder, btw.

Have you changed systems language, because mousam follows system language. You also may need to restart the builder.

My system language has always been Thai. Even overriding LC_ALL only changed some of the log messages coming from GLib stuff.

Are you able to see translation from other languages?

Unfortunately no. Are there some extra steps I have to do in Builder or something?

Ok, so it turned out that I was overriding it in the wrong place. Now it's just the app not picking up system language at least when launched from Builder, but I'm not sure where that one might be coming from.
