I thought I owed it to the community to share some results. Here is what I found:

In total, I received 482 responses.

Surprisingly, many people discovered Dozzle through blogs and tutorials. This is great, and I thank everyone who contributed to that.

Retention

Over a third of the respondents have been users of Dozzle for more than a year. That's amazing.

Usage

Not surprisingly, 84% are using Dozzle for self-hosted solutions or personal projects.

Other tools

The majority of Dozzle users do not use any other tools. A few are using Loki and Grafana, but all have complained about how difficult it is to set up.

Wanted use cases

Most users want metrics and alarms, which is why they use Grafana. This is an interesting data point. I am not sure if it would make sense for Dozzle to implement that right now, but it’s good to know.

Final words

Overall, many people are super happy with Dozzle. Recently, I added Kubernetes support based on feedback to broaden Dozzle's reach and allow people to use it outside of their homelabs. Interestingly, a few people asked for features that are already implemented. If I see provided emails, I will reach out, but for the most part, I believe the project is well documented. Users should spend some time exploring the new features that have been introduced. For example, a couple of people asked for agent support, which has been available for a while.
