Enchancement: Show segment number in the segments view

Enhancement:

In the structure view we have segment numbers, and in the segment view we don't have it, showing it would be useful.

However the challenge is that we can be almost guaranteed that the segment numbers will change multiple times in this view and hence adds a lot of cascading change in segment number because of it.

That's an interesting idea - I guess maybe a good compromise would be to do it on hover in js, and then there wouldn't be any changes on edit, it would just compute and display the correct number to show each time when the mouse moves over a segmentation point. Do you think that would be useful, or only if constantly show the segment number for all segments?

I think hover would be useful. It is sufficient to do a visual "binary search" if you needed to. That way one can orient themselves in segmentation screen w.r.t to segment number.
