Time vortex travel

Description

Let TARDIS stay in the time vortex for a long time and set TARDIS 'travel destination as the time vortex. Adding unexpected events to the time vortex is similar to what happens when the eighth doctor in the movie transports master ashes. Can unbreakable TARDIS components be added? Or achieve automated repair of TARDIS or interact with other moDs for repair?

I'm not sure whether it makes sense to have the time vortex be a destination in itself, as I feel it's not really a "place" where you can land with the TARDIS.
If anything then you can stay inside the time vortex by simply not landing at your actual destination for as long as the engine has durability and Artron available, which you can already do in the mod.

Besides that I like your main point, i.e.:

Adding more utility for remaining in the time vortex.

Two examples:

Attunement chamber/device/apparatus

For example, it would be cool if linking items to the TARDIS (e.g. keys and sonic) would require them to be put into some kind of "attunement chamber" and then you'd have to keep the TARDIS in the time vortex for some time, so that the machine can slowly attune the item to the TARDIS' telepathic frequencies (or some other technobabble 😁).

Mending chamber/device/apparatus

And maybe there'd be a "mending chamber", where tools and weapons could slowly have their durability restored, but just like the attunement chamber it would only function while the TARDIS is in the time vortex.

This would mean the cost wouldn't just be Artron (from the flight itself + maybe extra Artron for the chambers operating), but you'd also have to do flight-events (if you don't use stabilizers, which use extra Artron anyways) for longer, because it might take a long time to mend or attune items.

On top of that maybe some extra events that don't just require button-presses on the console, but that might be out of scope for this.

I'm pretty sure that the travel code already allows you to hang out in the vortex until you pull the handbrake/throttle.

For the unbreakable components you should make a separate feature request.
But I dont't really see any reason for that to be a feature.

Auto repair sounds like a cool end-game sort of thing.

And sure, maybe, when you spend a lot of time hanging out in the vortex some type of flight event should occur. That also sounds cool.
