Hello Richard,

I do still work on UIKit, however the latest build of Cappuccino solves most of the gripes that I had with the toolkit: Slow Application Loading Times. However the example Cappuccino App takes >7s to load on my iPad 2 over WLAN, which I find ridiculously slow.

UIKit is nowhere near production ready, but I do suggest forking Cappuccino and adding CPTouchEvent, CPGestureRecognizer, and CPDevice. If you implement these classes successfully, then you can build an iOS Touch-based interface. There has been preliminary implementation if you look through the source tree.

You may want to incorporate a lazy resource loader into Cappuccino. (Most Application Startup Time is due to the decoding of the Data-URIs).

These enhancements would make Cappuccino a very attractive option for mobile development without fragmenting the code base. (A potential issue with UIKit).

I am sorry that I haven't an example to give you. (The code on github is nowhere near production ready.)
