Bare Metal

Description

I only just installed the git repo a few hours ago for the first time on "bare metal" and I think I have read all the docs and info I can find plus various searches and there is no hint as to how to use either Laravel or system cron jobs to automate the speed tests.

Before I waste any more time, can someone be gracious enough to let me know that is, or is not, possible at this stage?

Maybe the information in this issue #1875 can get you up and running with bare metal install.

Fair warning: bare metal installs aren't supported so you're going to get limited support.

That being said, this is a Laravel app that extends the functionality of the Speedtest cli. You need to...

• have a web server to run the PHP processes
• have a database
• configure the environment
• setup a process to run a queue worker
• setup a cron schedule to run the task scheduler
• install the Speedtest CLI

I'm likely forgetting something which is why we containerized the application.
