@alexdelprete as a suggestion the raised ModbusError can have the message received as ExceptionResponse to help understand the errors without need to enable debug to view the error

it's the first time in 4y I see this ExceptionResponse. I don't expect to see any more, and in that case, I would ask for a debug log in any case.

But feel free to prepare a PR Ivan, I'll accept it.
