Description
Currently, when WSA-Pacman associates itself with .apk files in Windows Explorer, the file type is displayed as "Package installer."
I would like to suggest changing this description to "Android Package" (or "Android Application Package").
Reasoning:
- Clarity and Accuracy: "Android Package" is the official and most widely recognized term for the
.apkfile format. While WSA-Pacman is an installer, describing the file type itself as "Android Package" is more accurate and informative for users. - Consistency: This aligns better with how users might expect Android-related files to be labeled in their operating system.
- User Experience: For users who are new to WSA or Android sideloading, seeing "Android Package" provides immediate clarity on what the file fundamentally is, even before they understand that WSA-Pacman is handling the installation.
This change would primarily affect the display name in Windows File Explorer and "Open with" menus, improving the overall user experience and clarity for .apk files.
Thank you for considering this suggestion!
