Scheduled Action Summary - general setting for all sites? #899

It's not an option. It's a site-specific task. An option like that would not make sense. It would actually be user-hostile. If it's enabled, it creates a Site Summary task for each and every site. Even for sites you have already explicitly chosen not to send site summaries for. This means that every time you save the configuration with this option enabled, all your sites start sending you emails even if you explicitly chose not to. If it's disabled, it deletes the Site Summary task for each and every site. Even for sites you have already explicitly chosen to send site summaries for. This means that every time you save the configuration with this option disabled, all your sites stop sending you emails even if you explicitly chose to do so. Having a "maybe yes, maybe not" option is confusing, but would be the only way for the overwhelming majority of users to use it as they intended to: by choosing which sites they want to send emails of the summary. Does it solve a problem? Yes, one that few people have. Does that add value? No. Does it make a new problem? Yes, one that EVERYONE will complain about. Does that take away value? Yes. Therefore, it's not something that I see likely to be implemented. Here's the thing. You had to set up each site. Setting up the summary email is not a lot of additional time on top of that, and it allows you to fine tune which site will send an email, and to whom. |

Hello.
I´d like to get the Scheduled Action Summary for all of my sites.
As it is a lot of work to set this for ech site separately - doesn´t it make sense to have an optional general setting to activate this for all pages at once?
