Custom View Attributes: "Resource IDs will be non-final by default in Android Gradle Plugin version 8.0, avoid using them as annotation attributes"

I get this warning when using a Resource Id in an annotation. 
Will this feature stop working in the future? Will there be an alternative way of applying Custom View attributes?
