GPS Location

Have we ever discussed requesting the user's GPS location and zooming to that on load? Or at least adding a button to zoom to it.

Bert said that this used to be in atlas and then was removed. Not sure if it ever was in there but he asked for it again the other day.

Esri has a component for this now which would make this an easy implementation.

For Bert's request about adding "Blue Dot" (Geolocation Tracker) to Atlas, we can using this existing issue. From our recent discussions, the functionality used in Bikeways can be ported over to Atlas.

I'd like to use the web components for atlas so it won't be exactly the same as bikeways.

each map-component has a view prop you can assign with your own view as you migrate.

I tried going down this route in bikeways and it got very messy very quickly. But maybe the migration story is in a better place now. Also, atlas may be simpler.
