Tracker does not seem to take tempo into account

I'm using OpenMPT to convert MIDI to XM, and for some reason agb isn't importing tempo information, even though I'm pretty sure it can. Anyone know what I might be able to do to fix this?

Hi. It should take tempo into account, but there are quite a few ways to configure it and maybe the conversion from MIDI to XM did it in a way that agb-tracker doesn't expect.

Could you send me the XM file and I can take a look?

@gwilymk sure, take a look. When opened with OpenMPT it seems to have a faster tempo, but I may be using the wrong feature for that purpose.

Cool, I've taken a look and I think I know what's going on.

agb-tracker works on 'steps' which it runs once per frame. In order to support varying tempos, it'll sometimes skip some frames to run your music slightly slower.

However, at BPMs higher than 150, the GBA actually needs to do more than one step per frame, which agb-tracker can't handle. I'll see if I can change it so it runs more than one step in a frame occasionally and hopefully that'll work.

@DaforLynx can you test this with your cargo.toml replaced with the following?

agb-tracker = { git = "https://github.com/gwilymk/gba.git", branch = "fix-agb-tracker-bpm-greater-than-150" }

It seems to work for me but it would be good to get a confirmation before I merge the fix :).

I've opened #1064 to hopefully resolve this.
