Download episode from client app

Use case:

I have come across an RSS feed. It has loads of episodes but I don't know if I like it enough to commit to downloading them all so I don't download any episode when adding it to my ABS library. No information about the existing episodes is shown.

On the app, I go to the podcast and ideally look for the option to download to device. it's not there. I see "feed episodes" is there on the app though. I select an episode and click download. it tells me it's gonna be downloaded to the server. nothing happens.

Question is:

How can I optionally download an episode from the client app, ideally on the device but if not possible, then on the server.
