Type Hints/Annotations

Are there any plans towards type hinting the library? I started with a few stubs for a package depending on nptdms locally.

If type hinting is a desired addition to this package, I could either contribute directly to an nptdms fork or indirectly via typeshed

Hi @fostermaier, I don't have any plans to add type hinting myself, but it would be great to have them added to the library so I'd be happy to accept a pull request adding them
