lts-15.13 build fails

When I try to build with lts-15.13, the compile fails.
The fail method seems to not exist....
It seems to be related to section 3.2.8 here: https://downloads.haskell.org/~ghc/8.8.1/docs/html/users_guide/8.8.1-notes.html

....although I am not sure exactly, I haven't debuged too deeply.

Thanks for the report, I've let milena slide a little bit as I wasn't professionally writing Haskell anymore, but that recently changed so I'll take this on soon. Thanks for the issue!
