Hi, So this might be a bit of misconception on our end and the expected result. To achieve what you are trying to do, i would suggest that you setup the chore without a recurrence. This way, it will reset everyday and will always be available to be claimed. The thing is, if you say that the chore has to be done every day, it is expected that you have a due time for it. If you do not set any, we set a default to 23h59 (11h59pm) so the reset may handle it and reschedule for the next day. This is the only way to get daily recurring chores being reset and rescheduled. For your use case, I believe that my proposal is the best option, if this is not time "sensitive" and kids may do it at any time and is not like a "mandatory" chore, which you don't mind being (or not) overdue. Just set recurring frequency to none, and then reset the due date with the action. Or, if it's easier for you, just delete those chores and recreate them without frequency and no due date. Hope this helps. |

Okay, yeah I believe that is the solution. Anyway to clear the due dates in the "Edit Chores" window? It seems once a due date is assigned (even if not manually assigned they seem to get assigned) then you can't remove it. Or do I need to delete the chore and redo it? Another question, what's the best way to approach this use case?
Basically a Shared Chore but only 1 can claim, not both. |

Struggling to get these to work correctly.
I've followed the Wiki here:
For example the assigned kids have an optional chore to "Feed The Birds" which can be done once per day. This isn't a required chore but can be done daily. If it's not complete it should just remain in pending.
I also have similar optional "Chores" like "Read a book for 30 minutes", "Practice Guitar for 30 minutes".
Below is a screenshot of the Chore setup. But importantly, when I create these (I've deleted and redone it a few times) I do not assign a due date, but it does fill in on its own each time. I also do not have an option to remove the due date.
Any recommendations?
