Why call it Actix _Web_?

I can write an HTTP API in Actix that has nothing to do with the web. For example, an API that backs an iOS app.

So why call it "Actix Web"? "Actix HTTP" would be more accurate in terms of the lowest-common denominator.

• Yes, I realize it doesn't roll off the tongue.
• Yes, I realize projects don't like to change their names.

Still, I like good names. Anyhow, thanks for listening... :)

Yes, Actix Web supports the WebSocket standard. But one doesn't have to use WebSockets with a web browser.
