Feed Submission Error - Prolog

No matter what encoding I attempt, using the library to post Product Data results in this:

XML Parsing Fatal Error at Line 1, Column 1: Content is not allowed in prolog. Content is not allowed in prolog.

The feed is accepted and processed, and this is the result. Sample XML is here:

This was an error on my end. The file path was misspelled, so the path was taken as literal XML. My mistake!
