W10UI error installing [Setup DU]

OS Host: Windows 10 IoT LTSC 21H2 19044.5487
DISM: Windows 10 ADK
W10UI: 10.50

The W10UI detects the [Setup DU] update in the list, however when proceeds to install said update in the Installation Setup shows this:

in Spanish says: "There are no instances available."

Also noticed that the temporal folder it creates when decompress the [Setup DU] is empty. this happens with the update obtained from uupdump and Microsoft catalog.

Is there any way to check if the [Setup DU] was properly updated to the Windows Setup?

Can verify that the DU cab file is good? (open with 7-zip or Explorer)

yeah, it can with explorer no problem.

Well, i can't think for another reason
if you can do the operation again in debug mode, that would be much helpful
otherwise, i will see if can replicate

wmic datafile where "name='!cfil1!'" get Version /value | find "="
these commands used to read version of DU sources files and compare with current files is what cause the "no instances" errors

but i don't know what's the cause
could be bad wmi? or it can't read the path?
i will add more checks to avoid it

anyway, it's harmless error in this case
however, it's best not to use DU updates multiple times

🤔 Well that's odd, considering that used as reference this post, and no error show in their progress apparently:

Used the original ISO of LTSC 2021 from Massgrave ( I use the es-es lang version but doubt that's the cause), and only skip the Net3.5 (not needed) and the defender updates because don't know where to get it.

In any case i will use the log as guide and repeat the process from the start to manually verify if the [Setup DU] get applied or not. 🤷🏾‍♂️

OK, after some test I can confirm the issue is with code part that extracts the contents of the .cab files; because when it reach this point:

If I manually paste the contents of the [Setup DU].cab in their respective temp folder, the result is W10UI finish with no errors:

The question is why specifically the [Setup DU].cab? is because the files are not encoded like in the other .cab? maybe it search for a file that doesn't have and skip it?

Yes, because Setup DU is basic cab with compressed files, it should be extracted easily (via expand.exe)
i don't know why it fail in your case
