It’s possible to deselect/delete vision part of the model?

Is there in any way how to disable, delete or skip download vision part of the model? For example Gemma-3-4b.

Because now, when I want to download the model, it download vision part of the model automatically and its impossible to turn off/delete that vision part. So now I cannot run even this small model, because of the vision part.

yes, that makes sense. I will add an opt-out option for download and use. I'm thinking of keeping things simple: by default, vision-capable models will automatically download/load the mmproj files unless users opt out. let see if I can get this clean in the ui.

I tested it and it works great! And nice clean choice of UI for it! I only get a crash of the app when I try to delete the vision model from models/settings/click trash. The app crashes, after I go back, the model is still there, I click trash again and it deletes it normally without crashing.

btw you don't have to go to settings. If you tap on eye icon on the model card it should open the mmproj settings too.

Yeah, I know it. I check all choices you add. I only write where I get the crash, but it’s only the first click; after that, I never get the crash, so I can’t replicate it again. Thanks.

And off topic, some models have recommended settings of temperature, top k, etc. Can we somehow save these separately for each model? Now I can save them like presets in generation settings, but there’s only one preset currently. For example, Gemma3 has different recommendations than Qwen3, so I need to adjust them each time.

Plus some feedback, is there any way how to delete all chat history? I didn't found it. Or, when we have this chat history, maybe search text in all chat history will be nice.

Can we somehow save these separately for each model?

We used to have the option to save settings per model, but it has been moved to chat session level and global settings. This means you can change settings for each chat session, and if you duplicate a session, it will keep the original session's settings.
I'm thinking adding settings to the Pals. That way, each Pal would be a central config point for the system prompt, settings, default model, etc. When a user activates a Pal in a new chat session, it would automatically use that Pal's predefined settings.

Yeah, I think it will help. But when you implement it like this, I cannot change the Pal for different models, because the settings will be fixed to that exact Pal.

Because the recommended settings are fixed to the model. So if it is under a model, I can change and use any Pal for that model.

Of course, I can make two Pals with different models and settings.

I know you want it simple with one setting (one Pal and save all settings as you describe). It’s a great idea.

This is now possible in version 1.10.7.

Enable, disable, delete or download projection files, from the model card.

Also when you download, you can disable vision.

And you can enable/disable in the chat.
