Would it be possible to apply effects per-instrument?

Forgive me if this is already possible, however I can't find any mention of it online!

Is it possible to apply the effects (delay, distortion etc) to each instrument individually?

If not that would be a great idea!

To expand on that, being able to apply effects to an instrument at a certain point in time (say, you wanted to slowly increase the amount of delay over the course of the song) would be incredible. I realize that is probably insanely complex though 🤪

Hey there! You're correct, it's not currently possible. The effects/filters system is very rudimentary, and I do want to explore ways to make it more useful. Being able to use different effects, not just LP filter on individual instruments is definitely on the TODO list. I was also considering adding multiple global effects into a stack, so you are not limited to just one, if that makes sense. Something like changing the effect at the scale of the entire song I haven't thought about yet.

Ultimately, it will all depend on what can be done without making it too complicated — not for me to implement, but for the beginner-friendly nature of Bosca to be preserved.

All of that sounds fantastic! I agree though, you don't want to make it too complex for the user - the ease of use IMO is key
