In our small company we regularly use OpenMPTCProuter and are satisfied with it. We use Raspberry Pi 4 to run it and would like to upgrade the hardware to something more robust and stable. We looked at the Ubiquiti Edgerouter X but its "alpha support" status doesn't give us confidence. If possible we would like hardware with several RJ45 ports to be able to manage VLANs directly with it instead of going through an external switch. Do you have any advice on hardware that you have used and that you are satisfied with other than raspberry pi ? |

Thank you very much Ysurac for your response. Our main problem with the Raspberry is that in an event work the fact that the Raspberry uses an SD card as memory poses too many corruption problems for us, hence the desire to change hardware. I honestly believe the memory corruption issues are due to the Raspberry Pi hardware and not the Open MPTCP router software. Can other types of equipment be recommended ? Ysurac, as part of your partnership, are you still open to the possibility of us sending you specific equipment and, for example, paying for us to have updated maintenance on this equipment ? |

Yes there is an issue on RPI when it is not gracefully shutdown. SquashFS is better for this. RPI5 have a button now.
I support actively ZBT Z8102AX platform, RPI5 and x86_64 based platforms. These should be the first fixed platform (with x86_64 always first, as all tests are first done on this).
Others platforms are for now less tested.
I can support more platform when it's possible and the platform is fast enough. I can't be paid or offer any commercial support due to current job contract.
