has anyone managed to get gnome polkit agent working correctly ?

debian 12 sid with policykit-1-gnome installed, works fine on gnome but not in niri, i know gnpme auth agent isnt known for being the most compatible but i'm curious if anyone got it running ?

GNOME does not use it. It has a polkit dialog built into the GNOME Shell. The "GNOME polkit agent" has been deprecated many years ago.

I'm using polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1 which runs on login to Niri. Then when waybar runs script on a click and there is a sudo command in the script, polkit shows a password popup.

Yes, it's outdated, but the package is still being updated by the maintainers.
