Description
When a verse has a paragraph break within it, the live reader renders it as though there is also a paragraph break before the following verse.
Acts 7:1-3 has a paragraph break in the middle of v. 2.
\c 7
\p
\v 1 The high priest said,
"Are these things true?"
\v 2 Stephen said,
\p
"Brothers and fathers, listen to me: The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran;
\v 3 he said to him, 'Leave your land and your relatives, and go into the land that I will show you.'
In the live reader, it looks like there is also a paragraph break before v. 3

Acts 8:1-3 has a paragraph break in the middle of v 1.
\c 8
\p
\v 1 Saul was
in agreement
with his death.
\p So there began
on
that
day a great persecution
against
the church
that was
in Jerusalem;
and
the believers were all scattered throughout
the regions
of Judea
and Samaria, except
the apostles.
\v 2 Devout men buried Stephen
and made great lamentation
over him.
\v 3 But Saul tried
to destroy
the church. He would enter house
after house, drag off both men
and women,
and
put them
in prison.
In the Live Reader, it looks like there is also a paragraph break before verse 2.

I'm not sure if this happens all the time, or only at the beginning of chapters. Right now, I can't get to content.bibletranslationtools.org to check the backslash codes. (I just sent in a helpdesk request about it.)
