Using the /search REST API

Hello,

Can anybody tell me how to use the search API in Weblate?
I've tried to add path parameters and query parameters, but all just give me 404s. Without any parameters, the response is just an empty list [].

My goal is to access the Weblate Translation Memory to get suggestions for any given string in a certain locale. Is this possible?

This won't help you find translation memory entries, but I've just updated the documentation to describe the endpoint better: #15885

The translation memory API is currently very limited and offers no searching; see https://docs.weblate.org/en/latest/api.html#memory

OK, that's a pity. Would searching in the TM be accepted as a feature request?

I have set up a project-wide add-on for 'Automatic translation' that searches on the translation memory and adds sugestions to the strings. It works quite well.

I also can search per string on the 'Automatic suggestions' tab, it automatically searches for the whole string but there is also a small search box where you can add any text.

Having API certainly makes sense (created #16075 to track this), but for using inside Weblate sugggestion from emma might make more sense.
