When all mission objectives are fulfilled, the mission does not end. Instead, a box would be displayed giving the option to either proceed to the next mission or stay on the current mission until the timer runs out. This box would be minimized to somewhere so that the user can proceed if desired.
For retreat unit directives, allow the player to define the retreat zone.
Reasoning:
I tend to simply forget creating manual saves, and given the lack of a restart mission button, being able to go back to an autosave would be convenient.
Sparing the last remaining enemy unit or structure to have time for recycling units, building up defenses, or catching up on research is a common strategy. There is no specific skill involved in doing so, which is why the suggested addition would simply be a matter of convenience.
It is not uncommon that the default retreat zone on a map leads right through enemy lines. Allowing the player to define one's own retreat zone addresses this issue.
